Hope y'all don't mind an Armada guy tagging along

Well, I've been lurking in the background reading all the wonderful AND informative posts here for a while now. Since the Titan and Armada are close 1st cousins, I hope you guys and gals don't mind me tagging along and being a member here.
Although the two vehicles are very similar, I know there are differencess and since this IS a Titan forum I promise I want flood the place with Armada specific stuff....unless someone asks a question specifically about the Armada that I may be able to answer. I've gained quite a bit of knowledge from reading the posts here and I feel its only right that if possible, I give some of that knowledge back.
Just wanted to say hello and here is a picture of my ride. Its a 4x2 Armada LE. Smoke exterior, Graphite Interior. The wife and I only wanted the Upgrade Package....we didn't wan't the sunroof (never use it), didn't want the factory dvd (we're gonna go the aftermarket route for that and gonna redo the stereo too) didn't want the navigation/tech package (reading a regular old map is fine by me). Oh, by the way, I'M LOVIN' THE HELL OUT OF MY ARMADA!

Welcome to the forum, dboogie! I love your Armada, naturally, and think it's the sharpest SUV going and yours really looks great in Smoke! I really like the monochrome background on your pic...I see someone else enjoys photo edit software, too I think Nissan's got a winning duo in Titan and Armada

I've read at other boards that in some models, there's a problem with a low-frequency vibration noise with the roof, especially without the sunroof. Have you noticed anything like that?

I'm keeping a close eye on the Armada because we may upgrade to that vehicle in the future, due to the size of our growing boys. The crew cab may not cut it in 4 or 5 years.

stunning vehicle. i would get that instead of the tita (dont beat me ) the only thing that stopped me is the price tag isnt it like 33k for the lowest model?

Thanks everyone.....

for such a warm welcome!!!

BRIARMAN: Yup, I'm a digital photography kinda guy...All hail Paintshop Pro 8 (i'm still learning Photoshop )

TITANJBC: You're right about the resonance problem, several folks have complained about it. Before buying mine, I test drove 5 Armadas (all in different configurations) and in NONE of them did i experience the problem! After testing driving the one I eventually would buy, I again DID NOT experience the problem. Other folks with Armadas (SE's & LE's...with and without sunroofs) are just like me...their vehicle doesn't have the problem. Sooo its not an across the board situation with the vehicle. I will tell you that I read today that an engineer that works at the Canton plant has said the problem HAS been identified by Nissan and they are in the midst of correcting it now and a TSB will be out on it. One guy that had the problem has already gotten the problem fixed. So, the problem is random and those with it will be able to get it fixed!! Chalk another one up for Nissan for stepping to the plate by addressing a problem and doing something about it.

JASON: Yes you're right, the base model does start around 33K. I don't know what your price range for a new vehicle is, but I will say that with proper homework you can walk into the dealership and get one for right around invoice. I know several folks that have.....myself included.

dboogie, I just keep going back and looking at your sharp Armada pic...very cool...since you've been lurking for awhile, I guess you saw my monochrome effort that I replaced last week...
I've decided to change sig pic projects every week or so, since I'm a frequent poster and don't want the gang to get too tired of the same one...plus it gives me a reason to experiment with my Titan in different special effect backgrounds...

Yeah Briarman i did see it...........please don't sue me for plagarism, because I didn't steal your idea and then used it on my photo...honestly i didn't! I did my photo like that before I discovered TitanTalk. When I saw your photo with the mono background, the first thing I thought was "Great & creative minds think alike !
I sorta thought you were changing up your photo for that very reason. By the way, what editing software do you use?? OH yeah, when I first saw your truck I said, "Maaan, I think I would've gotten that color if it was available for the Armada." I then told my wife to take a look so she could give me her opinion. She hates the color red on automobiles but she LOVES that Red Brawn on the Titan You have a VERY nice ride too! Seee...great and creative minds DO think alike (hehehehe)

Yep, we smart fellers do think alike I use Microsoft Picture It, included in Works for XP...it has all the special effects and I used to work em for all they're worth! I used to do a couple of projects a night, think I did close to 400, really worked the layers and effects...had a blast with it, then got into my hunting forum and now TitanTalk, and seldom have time for artwork anymore...this is more of a social thing, anyway
