Braking seems soft

Has anyone else notice if there Titan brake pedal seems spongy? I have to put mine to the floor sometimes to get stopped... After driving the wifes 2004 Maxima with 12.6 inch disc brakes which you barely have to touch the pedal..

Sensor issue being the low tire pressure sensors? Those are actually located inside the wheel on the rim and attached to the valve stem.

My truck has 5200 miles on it and the brakes are the same as day 1. Only issue for brakes that I have noticed and others is that they brake dust because of the soft pads is very noticable and accumulates quickly. I will 'fix' this by going to a different pad when its time for that.

No not the tire pressure sensors...There has been talk about Nissan aware of the brake pressure sensors being defective.. I'm going to have mine checked along with the tailgate problems and the side box problem I have (missing parts)

Well, I will have to agree with the brakes been "different" when I drive my wifes SE-R , I push the brake just a little and it stops, efforless... in the other hand the Titan, First, I need to push the brakes farther for it to grab, and then the feel is not solid... I am not complaining, just bringing this up, of course the truck stops just fine, it is the feel that is "different" also my older Hardbody had perfect brakes even after 159K Miles you barely touch the brake and the truck stopped... I kind of miss my old truck... oh well.

CC 4X2 with 2000 miles...

my brakes are strong, but as others have said i didn't think i'd have to push as hard as i do for them to work. it's no big deal really, i just thought it would be pretty effortless.

My Titan doesn't stop on braking as sharply and solidly as my '01 Frontier did-but then I'd never had a vehicle that did before the Frontier either...plus with the Titan I find I have less reason to have to stop in traffic...I'm usually ahead of the crowd! LOL

I put the brakes as my #2 "annoyance" (#1 being the radio) on the J.D. Power & Associates customer satisfaction survey I recieved. I drove my wife's Sequoia this weekend for the first time since I got the Titan and I almost put everyone through the windshield at the first stop sign! And the funny thing is, I used to think her brakes were softer than my Tundra's.

Coming from my 96 GMC Sierra, I think the brakes are great, with a firmer pedal and better feel.

When we test drove a Tundra, I noticed the brake master cylinder looked a lot like the one on my 1971 PL510!

Mine seem spongy also but it stops fine. I also can push them all the way to
the floor. The Titan has "brake assist" and I'm wondering if that has something to do with the feel.

I love the brakes on the Frontier. I drive a twisty freeway on the way to work and it was fun to push Sport Sedans out of the fast lane because I could handle and brake better than them.

That doesn't mean I don't like the Titan brakes. When you push the stop pedal it stops and if you push it hard and fast, your eyeballs will hit the windshield.

The Frontier just handles and brakes better.

If you think you may have brakes problems, read the owners manual. There is a section in there that tells you how to test the brakes.
