Question How many hours should Nissan charge for

How many hours labor should Nissan charge for taking out my cluster, inspect to see if SRS and Check engine light bulbs are present and stick the cluster back in? Does anyone have a book with the listed time for R/R of instrument cluster?

Thanks!

Re: How many hours should Nissan charge for

Well recently I installed some gauges on my truck (along with quit a few other members)..There was actually some members who installed the gauges, which requires you to take out the cluster, open the cluster, remove/install gauges, and then put the needles back in their right positions in about 30 mins...Since they are a dealership and this should be done by them in less than 30 mons, I would say over a 1 hour charge would be ripping you off...or you could do it yourself

I would love to do this but this is for a court case and I need Nissan to do it and take pictures. So the tech will have to remove the cluster, see whether the bulbs are present or absent, take pictures and stick it back together without fixing anything. Here is the case I'm referring to. HELP in legal matter of sale of my Titan.

I would guess 1-hr shop time. For board testing / replacing, it might take a little bit longer but in all honesty, your attorney should ba able to push the expenses back onto the seller so that you get your money back for it. Personally, I'd like to see your attorney ream them so well that you get a brand new Pro-4x for the same cost you paid on this one out of the deal.
