Latest news...

I went in this morning to check on delivery of my Titan (was scheduled for the 12th at a dealer about an hour north).

The bad news is the date is now the 18th.
The good news is it will be delivered directly to my local dealer.

I guess I can wait a few more days. It being delivered directly really makes me feel better as well. Hopefully I'll get an early delivery.

That's actually great news!!! Getting it delievered directly to your local dealer is a huge win! You've effectively eliminated the long drive (2 hours round trip) to pick it up. And getting it serviced at the dealer that it is delievered to is also a good thing in the long run.

Congrats!

Yep, my thoughts exactly. I want to put the first chips/scratches in it. And the first 100 miles. Not someone driving it on the roads that now are covered with sand and rocks from a tough winter.

I did say that I was ready to drive up north to get it, and they weren't surprised. But, now things looks to be working out.

And hopefully by waiting some of the issues will be resolved. I did tell them about the coin tray (said they'd snag one from a titan or armada off the lot), the wheel torque and tire pressure since they have to do the 2 hour prep. May as well make sure they check these things closely.

Now you're thinking!!! I'm trying to remember if there's anything else for them to do......

Maybe have them check the rear bumper alignment. Wasn't there someone saying that their bumper was further out on one side versus the other?

Yep, they had no problem with me providing a "list". If there's anything else anyone can think of, let me know. I'm not goingn to worry about bed liner and stuff that seems to happen after a while, because that will be covered under warrenty anyhow. I want to catch the things that were wrong from the factory so I don't have to have things fixed that could have been avoided.

You've hit the two big ones in my opinion. I think the wheel torque thing is probably the most critical because of the rotor warpage issue. Then the tire pressure for ride quality.

If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
