Here in GA our tint laws are 32% which is closely watched and monitored by the state and local police. The only thing that irritates me is most of the county cop cars are blacked out (limo tint). I feel like they are doing this to the public with their (above the law) tint and flagrant abuse of speed laws. If you want to see some serious speeders, come to GA and watch the county and state cops go flying by you. And if you really want to piss them off hang on their *** if there from outside the county. I can't help but to do this on occasion because they have no right to run triple digit speeds in another county, or their own for that fact. I know because I've called and complained on 6 cops so far and each time the Chief of the county will call me and be real apologetic and tell me a bunch of BS like how the officer has been warned and a "letter will be put in his file". Needless to say we don't have the best examples of cops here, and all of this coming from a guy who's Dad is a retired state patrol officer!!!

Wow, I just re-read my post and it sounds like I'm a cop hater and that's most certainly not the case. After all my father is a retired state patrol officer and I have a lot of respect for the men and women in blue who do the (under payed job) that most people don't want to do. I just have a problem with the example some set for the general public once they get behind the wheel of a cop car.

About 10 years ago I had the opportunity to attend a 2 week EVOC course. Yes it was because my father was an instructor at the time but who would turn down an opportunity like that even if your not in the law enforcement field..... For those men and women in blue who know what I'm talking about and have attended that course, that was a BLAST!!!!

i know many a cops, some friends, some neighbors, some family. but there is always going to be some gung-ho moron cop who is going to throw the book at you just because he wants to push his weight around, more so because he's INSECURE about himself and feels like belittling someone else makes them feel high and mighty. it's all pyschological crap i've learned about, read about and experienced in daily living. i have nothing but utmost respect for law enforcement that treat citizens with respect regardless of their skin color, nationality, or any other stereotypes. i've been on ride-a-longs twice with two different branches - sheriffs deputy and california highway patrol, both officers were respectful and professional in every manner, which is how they should all be.

we really all need to lighten up. i like tinted windows but just the thought of getting it w/o ruffling someones feathers has made me just a bit hesitant, oh well...

I'm surprised that 35% is the limit here in AZ...

It makes a huge difference in the interior temperature... but I suppose 20% does a similar effect.

I think the uniformity of having the same percentage front-to-back is necessary for my Titan.

Imagine only washing half of the truck and leaving the other half dirty...

I just scheduled an appointment to get 20% on my front windows. I've just moved to Alabama from South Carolina and the laws are somewhat more restrictive. The tint guy told me if I wanted to match the back windows I'd have to pay in cash ($45) and it wouldn't be warranteed. Not a big problem in my opinion. Anytime I get pulled over I immediatley roll down the windows so the cop can see what I'm doing, as well as shutting off the engine. There are ways to not look suspicious, just don't be stupid and most cops are very understanding.
