My Truxedo Lo Profile still hasn't arrived (ordered on 3/9). I hope it will be in on Monday. I'm also hoping that it will have the clamps for the Utili-Track. I did get it for $394.90 shipping included as I've stated earlier.

I am sure you will be pleased with it. I really enjoy mine. Loaded my truck this weekend and the cover stayed tight and secure. Good luck and enjoy!!

The Crew cabs do NOT need the middle clamps!
He installed them anyway. But they are not needed! Now on the Reg. cabs you do need to install the middle clamps because the frame rails are longer. On my truck I used one (utili-track clamp) on the back end of the tracks because they are alot stonger! I have a crew cab so I didn't use the middle clamp. I than used a self tapping screw on the end by the tail gate. You can use a nut and blot if you want, but the frames are fairly light. With this set up you can slide your bed extender fully front to back! And if you want to open the extender onto the tailgate, you just slide it off the tracks flip it up and slide it back on! All of about 15/20-seconds to do this. It's very easy! I hope this information helps you understand alittle better how to make this work with the sliding extender/divider.

Finally, my Truxedo Lo Profile came in today. We just finished installing it. It was pretty easy as has been said in this forum. It however took us a little longer because we did not understand some of the terminologies.

We installed it with the regular clamps, not the utili-track clamps. I guess I'll have to request it from Truxedo. I think its true that the cover will be stronger using the clamps for utili-track since we'll be able to use 3 clamps on each side. As of now, we are only using 2 of the 3 regular clamps since there is no place for the middle clamp.

All-in-all, it was great! Galaxy Black with Black tonneau cover! I highly recommend this cover...lifetime warranty too! My Titan just keeps getting better.

Just ordered my Truxedo low profile cover from my nissan dealer today. Since I got stuff at cost, I thought I'd get it there.

I had him call his distributor, and he wasn't sure about the utili-track mounting system. So he then called Truxedo and the gal on the phone new EXACTLY what he was asking, and gave him a part number. She also told him that they were on backorder.. (deepwater probably deserves some commission!)

So my dealer called his rep again with the part number. He has 3 on the way, 1 sold, so I told him to go ahead and order it.

With tax it will end up to the same as the 399 deals people are getting... And I know it's on it's way so hopefully I'll have it late this week, or early next week.

Also talked to a couple of the parts guys and they said they have had both truxedo and access. They said truxedo have gotten a lot nicer than in the past, and that now comparing the two is like comparing coke and pepsi. Basically a wash. That eased my mind as well.

Hope my XM and Bug Guard get here soon... then I need to look for more accessories!

Locking

It says on truxedo website that the lo profile cover will lock with a locking tailgate, Deepwater or someone else who has the cover, does the lock work?

The cover itself does not have a lock. It has a latching bar at the tailgate. If you lock the tailgate, that prevents access to the latching bar, hence it cannot be opened. (unless someone wants to cut the cover)

Thanks! That was what I was looking for. In other words, a person can't just pull up on the cover and reach in a steal stuff. Because it is tight at the back and latched, they can't really get in without a knife. Just what I want. With my old cap, it really wasn't anymore safe. You could just pull very hard on the t-handle and it will bend and let the back open. Even stiffer ones weren't much safer as you can easily knock out a window.

I was told today, that my truck is in production this week. Hope to get it delivered within two weeks then!!!

Ok, I am sold on the Truxedo Low Profile by you guys. Plus, look at the comparison chart below:

http://www.truck-bed-covers.com/comp...t_tonneaus.htm

Truxedo has auto tension adjustment.

hey deepwater i went to order the truxedo today and i talked to a pretty cool guy and he told me that the truxedo was nice but he recommends the extang rt tonno. he said that they have had less problems in the long run with extang and its 100 dollars less@298 shipped. i know some people push what they want to but he encouraged me to go to local retailers and check both products out. i was amazed because extang is still in production on the rt for the utilitrac and he could have sold me a truxedo on the spot. im confused on what to buy i was willing to pay the extra but if its no better then why should i. can you give any insight on this

I do not know much about the Extang covers. All I can tell you is the Trexedo is Top Self in my book! And are one of the few to offer a life time warranty on everything! I love this cover and have not had one problem with it!! I hope you like what every you buy!
