If you have it tensioned properly it is tight and has very little flutter if any. I was concerned about the same thing but it has not been a problem.

maybe a stupid question, but did any of you guys who installed the covers see a difference in MPG?

I am really pondering getting the truxedo from TP247.......

Can someone with a Truxedo post a pic without the cover installed? What's left? Does it look like a cover is missing (i.e. exposed spaps, rails, velcro, etc)? Reason I'm asking, is that I'm looking for a cover that I would leave off MOST of the time. I would only attach it when I need it. So, the second question is: How easy is it to remove and re-attach? What holds it in place?

When the cover is off, you see the side rails with the exposed Velcro hook side up. They are about and 2" wide by an 1" deep, so you know something is missing. If you leave the rails on, the cover comes of in about 15 seconds by loosening two bolts.

went to a local performance shop here in NH, and asked about the Extang. The dealer said they are running into "clamping issues" and are not delivering the product yet, and he basically sounded like he had almost given up with them. He said that he could have sold 6 of them in the last month to Titan owners, and is calling them every week asking when they are going to finally be out. Extang keeps telling him "2 weeks."

Too bad, I probably would have bought one today on the spot also. $250 was the quoted installed price on it, give or take a few bucks, but I guess I'll have to pony up the $400 for a Truxedo.....

Anyone installed the Truxedo Plus? It's the one with a built in tool box. Particularly interested in pics on a crew cab. My understanding is that you do not have to drill holes with this system, correct??? Everyone still happy with fit and finish of the Truxedo?

Was the problem with the utility track? I've got just the plain poly bed
liner, and have been considering the Extang Full Tilt with the snaps.

What opinions are out there regarding Access vs TruXedo tonneau covers? Is one better than the other? What makes one better or worse?

If security is your concern then try Parragons aluminum cover. According to them it is waterproof too. At $580 it is still too salty for me. But if I have that kind of money I would buy it.
