noise in vent position when turning knob

when I turn my vent controll from all to the right defrost position to the vent position i get a cllicking noise like a plastic gear is striped and it will not stop untill i turn it back to the right has anyone had this happen and is the elect componet on the heater box to the right of the gas pedal? I feel the clicking at that device

Not sure if it is the same. But, I had a clicking noise when I turned the fan on, and it would get louder when I turned the fan up. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the A/C fan.

There is a bad actuator and it's skipping gear teeth. Do a search. There are many threads on this problem.

Nissan revised the part(s) causing this problem. Mine does the same, I just haven't had it fixed yet.

Mine just started doing that last week and im getting it fixed on saturday. They said the same thing it's a gear and it bent and it doesnt hit the stop anymore and it thinks it can keep going.

No, it's just a problem. If you have less than 36,000 miles it will be covered under warranty. Although my local dealer tells me the revised part didn't fix the problem.

hey same here on my 05 se after i change the fan to something different it clicks for about 30 seconds then stops pretty annoying but sounds like a pain to fix. after i shut my truck off and about three minutes go by just sitting there it will do it again it's really weird it does it for about 30 seconds again and i didn't even touch any thing. really weird
