That's looking real good FLfinfan. It really does look like something Nissan would design just for that truck. How difficult is it to take the top off if you need to haul something big or dirt?
J.G.ATV.S, is that a hood scoop I see? Didn't notice that before when checking out your tonneau pics a few week(s) ago. Looks bad a**.

1. Not hard to take off, just need two people, about 120 LBS, 4 bolts/clamps, tie up the struts so they don't open, and mark where it was lined up (to re-line up perfect later) and bingo your ready to haul tall stuff. The whole process is much easier if you take the clamps off nearest the cab 1st, then tie up the struts with the lid closed, then take off the back clamps. When I do it for the 1st time with this truck it will just lay on the garage floor till re-installation.
2. Price varies by the shop that installs. I paid high 800's but some have got it about 100 dollars cheaper.

The hood scoop and the pin stripe I got done at my local body shop.THE price for my a.r.e. lid was $750 installed be careful nobody over pays since they are new out.
Thanks to everyone for the compliments.
I was not happy to pay more than I saw others here were paying but the only other authorized dealer was a hour or more away. I also overpaid for my Lund Interceptor clear bug deflector (which is getting color match painted today or monday). These things make me disappointed, but it will be forgotten soon enough since I don't have to cross 3 counties to find a better deal or waste weeks trying to find some other dealer. Yes, I know the internet is cheaper, but I like "actual reality" purchases way better than "virtual reality" purchases. Guess I am old fashioned about that. All in all it worked out, just alittle less $$$ in my wallet, which will be replaced soon enough.

Looks good man. Did you have that painted or did it come like that? Could have saved some money by not buying that custome sticker. JK. E.A.G.L.E.S...EAGLES!!
Came painted. Sticker was free. At least the Fins one was. LOL The "Dogs love Trucks" one was only 6 bucks. Eagles? I used to have their "best of album". LOL
The top is sweet looking. I had an A.R.E. on my F150 that looked very similar to yours about 4 yrs ago, and I think it was $800 back then. I don't think I would get one now due to it limiting what you can carry in you bed. I bought 32 inch TV and couldn't fit it in the bed of my truck, which made me say I will never get a non-removable top again.
Removing it is not very convenient due to it being hard to do by oneself, and then trying to find somewhere to put it where it would not scratch that beautiful paint job would be tough too. I also was afraid the re-install would not go as smooth with trying to line it back up and all, but I guess making those little marks was a smart move that should make that part easy. Another problem is what if you need to haul something you did not consider, before leaving the house. There is nowhere to put the lid.
I am not trying to rain on your parade, I just wanted others to make sure that it is what they want, before they spend the $800. I know once I saw one on the F150 site, I ran right out and bought one. It looked great, but caused me aggravation on several occasions. Now, if you know you will hardly ever haul something taller that the bed depth, then there is no better way to go. If I look at your truck long enough I will probably start thinking real hard about making that top work for me somehow.
I think if I get another top it will probably be one of the folding cover tonneaus as if would be more user friendly, but I will have to admit it will not look anywhere near as good as yours.

Well, since the Titan won't fit in my garage without totally rearrangeing it, there is always a place to put the tonneau, on the garage floor. The Xterra stays outside also. Taking it off is not that bad, putting it on straight is harder, but a few little sharpie marks make it easier. I have had several Nissan trucks now and never didn't know in advance when I needed to haul something tall. But I can see how getting caught off guard could affect others, or me if it was an extreme emergency. Also already have hauled a washer at the back of the bed with the tonneau up, a blanket between the washer and tonneau and tie downs around the outside of the lid and tied to the utilitrac cleats. Tight but not too tight. Slow over any bumps.
I do see your point though.
