Rubber Bed Mat

The coating texture in my bed is like sandpaper and whenever
I'd slide anything in it that was painted, it basically sanded the
finish off. When it started to affect the camo finish on my tree
stand, that was the last straw. My last truck had Line-X and
it was far better than what I have now. I have the Utili-track
but have never used the bottom rails. They're nothing but dirt
catchers for me, especially after hauling my ATV. I solved the
abrasive problem by putting in a moulded rubber bed mat. Not
only does it smooth the bed out but adds additional non-abrasive
gripping. Air can still circulate and its easy to remove for
cleaning the bed. It's cut to fit the Titan and cost $69.95 (includes
shipping from tonnocover.com). It's the "Driver Design" brand.
That coupled with the Truxedo tonneau makes a nice bed!

I've had the rubber mats in both of my last two trucks, and I really liked them. I am considering getting one for my titan.

I had bought a rectangular rubber mat from the Tractor Supply for about $40 for the back of my old Blazer. It was more than long enough so I put it in the bed of my truck and had to cut about 2" off the end. It works well for smoothing out the bed and it's thicker than the moulded mats made for truck beds. They are two sided, one with parallel ridges the other side is basically smooth. They come in various lenths and widths:http://www.mytscstore.com/detail.asp...&productID=229

I want to thank you for this tip, I bought one of these mats. Like you said, no more clunking from the track covers, stuff doesn't slide around, and it looks real nice too.
