Hello, I just got a '04 Titan XE Friday and its great. I was wondering if anybody knows where I could find the body side molding for our trucks. I've scoured the web and haven't found anything other than cheap black plastic molding that’s for everything but Titans. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I also have Titan CC XE and looking for side molding. Called the dealer today and they said they don't sell the factory made side molding. Any suggestions? Please let me know - thanks
I have investigated this throrougly so probably got some insight for ya. They do sell the side moldings but they only come black ready to paint. Rough price from Jaime (titanparts247)was about 285 plus shipping for the moldings and paint. But here's the problem. Are you ready to drill holes in your doors? Thats right the molding have "plugs" that go into holes in door. We looked at cutting these plugs and using some 3m tape but the geometry of the situation made it likely not to work (hold). And I would hate to look in rear view mirror and see my 300 molding doing cartwheels down road.
Only alternative I have found so far is some chrome side molding for titan sold on ebay for reasonable price. But that is too much chrome for my taste. Everybody has their limits on chrome and I found a happy median with my wheels and door handles.

If you find anything else, let us know.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I agree with you, the chrome side molding is too much chrome. Need suggestion, what if we add step rails instead of the side molding, do you think that will help to prevent the doors getting hit by another door?

Step rails still don't protect you from some door dinks, especially from other trucks or SUVs. They might help protect against the occasional run-away shopping cart.

As caltitan mentioned, probably not. Seems like it is a geometry thing, depends on what it is that is trying to ding the titan. For that matter, I have owned vehicles that had door moldings and still got dings. There is no absolute door guard but anyhting I guess is better then nothing. I would look into the westins, they seem to stick out the farthest from the pics I have seen. For now, I am still parking the titan about 2 miles from front doors of walmart!!!

LOL - I wouldn't even think of taking my Titan to a Walmart or Target parking lot, those places are a door whacking festival. Wife's minivan gets that honor. Home Depot is the same though. Parking spaces are long but not very wide. Usually end up parking away from other vehicles when I can and am very respectful of centering my Titan in my parking space. If I have my daughter with me I usually have to park in a disabled spot to accomodate her wheelchair anyway so the chance of getting door dings in that situation is low (although I'd gladly trade a million door dings if I didn't have to park there).

Got my ding when I parked at WalMart, sucks! You guys know how it feels to see little dings, little frustrated. I'm very open for any suggestions, right now thinking about getting step rails, like you said anything better than nothing. I have a smoke Titan, what do you think about black side molding?

I think the black and smoke will look fine. Sammy put black bushwackers on his smoke and the color combo looks good. Have you found a black one close to size of stock? Only blacks I have seen is the punny stuff at pep boys and such.

You know what, I've contacted another dealer and they have the factory made side molding, black color but it cost almost $51 for the back and $74 for the front doors. Do you have the picture of your friend's titan?

Eg1, sounds close to price I was quoted for just the moldings but you still will have the problem on installation. The factory moldings have "pegs" on back that need holes in door to plug into. This is why I backed off my quest for factory door guards, didnt want to drill holes in my doors.
