pics of custom video system

I finally got my truck customized with a new 7'' LCD monitor, a DVD player and a playstation 2. I wanted the monitor to look factory and I think they did a great job. I also did not want to put an after market stereo in place of the standard factory stereo because I like the way it looks factory. I will not be putting woofers in my truck, I like bass but after a while parts in the cab start rattling and I do not want that. Let me know what you guys and gals think.

Very nice. Is that DVD player under one of the seats? Did they make a custom fiberglass piece for the monitor? Looks like a great match on the paint.

Looks like its time to update your signature. Are the RCA Jacks for the Playstation 2? I think it looks great and that they did a great job. I would only be concerned with one issue...theft. Is it easy to get that monitor out, or is it just vecro'd in. Nice job man.

I got this custom job done at an audio shop in my city that’s done a lot of work for me. As far as the DVD player it is bolted down under my seat as well as the Playstation 2. The monitor is very secure on the dash we had a few bolts put in under the dash to make it very difficult to pull off. and the rca jacks are for any purpose like to give me better sound and higher volume with my MP3 player and I can hook up a camera and etc......and yes it also is for my playstation 2. Thanks for the compliments

It's amazing what a good fiberglass "artist" can do. I don't know how they got this one to sit so low in the dash but it looks better than factory I think.

oops...just noticed how they got it to set so low....new radio too.

That is fantastic. Maybe these guys should think about selling the fiberglass monitor fabrication for those of us no where near Arizona. Damn ... now I have to add another thing to my list of wantas ....

That sits too high for my taste. But I do like how well integrated it is.

I hope you are not in California. Thanks to our lawmakers (the ones that cannot pass a budget on time) we have a new law this year that basically says if it's not for navigational purposes you cannot have a screen visible by the driver. But it's still legal for the driver to talk on a cell phone. Go figure.

looks nice but that would not fly here in Texas. The new laws passed last year do not allow a tv or lcd screen to be in the view of the driver.

I have to take a guess so let's see if I can do it without plugging the company. Are they "Specialists" at this and could they be located near the intersection of Broadway and Craycroft? If so, they did some awesome work for me in the early 90's. They designed a bass box for a little Ram 50 I had while attending the UofA.
Sidenote: WILDCATTITAN - have you rechecked the second page of the old Phoenix area meet string lately? Phoenix area meet?
Let me know!

So RoadrashTX you are telling me that you can't have a TV or a LCD screen in the view of the driver? when Nissan sends Titans or Armadas to Texas they can not order them equipped with factory navigation units and screens? The factory navigation screen only sit inches lower than where I have mine at. How about if I lived in Texas and got a better deal on a Titan in New Mexico but the Titan had navigation installed factory would I have to have the dealer take the navigation unit out? I do not know all the laws in every state but it seems very weird that you can buy a truck with factory components inside and have it be against the law to have them.

The navigation part is fine for TX, it's video they have a problem with. It's the same for every state I suspect. They don't want people watching the game while going through a school zone. After the newness of the nav wears off you end up flipping it to a blank screen (or the gas/bank account graph. There is probably a refresh rate that differentiates between legal or not. I've read elswhere though of factory nav's getting tickets in NY.

I put in a switcher to get video on the dash mostly so I can see the menus and get the rear seat video going for my daughter. I love being able to flip it on and check the news while sitting in traffic.
