naming a cd in the RF CD changer

How do you name a disc or track in the RF system. Is there a file I need to burn onto the CD so that the RF system can display the CD title and Track?

I just burn the Cd under MusicMatch and whatever the title is on MusicMatch, that's what comes up on the CD player.

This may not be your problem but One thing i noticed is the cd's i burned with an older cd burner and software did not put the names on the cd's but the cd's i burned after i got a new cd burner and software abuot a year ago put the names on there. I don't know if it was the burner or the software or a setting i was missing on the old software.

It would be the software. Depending on what you use, there should be some option to title the cd.

It's called CD TEXT and if you don't have that option when you burn, it's not going to show anything.

Try searching through your software's help, and it should come up (if it can do it)

I know the newer version of MusicMatch does it automatically but all my older CD's on the outdated software versions don't have titles.

I am almost certain it is reading the "ID3" tag of the song. The easiest way to edit the tags of the song is to use WinAmp. You can use a lot of programs to do this, I just prefer WinAmp. When the song is in the playlist, right-click on it and view the file info. Here is where you can edit the tags.
