The Pyle reliability I'm not sure about. Does anyone have experience with it?

You can always order from one of the Japanese import websites, as double dins are far more popular there. Some of them are pretty expensive, but usually far ahead of the current technology stateside.

I know, there are quite a few out there. The source I told you about a while back was actually a friend of mine who was going to Tokyo and Okinawa. Problem was at the time I didn't have the cash needed to get the HU I wanted(that's why I asked if you'd be interested). He may go again next year, or if I get a chance to go I'll post the shopping results.

I have been looking for a double din HU as well and I have not found many. The one I will most likely buy is Pioneer FH-P5000MP only because there are not many choices out there. Pyle has one, clarion, Kenwood and JVC. I wish Alpine offered one, but they don't (as far as I know). The problem with the single DINs are that second empty slot that they leave. I dont like that. I'd like my vehicle to look as close to stock as possible. Any ideas?

Also, I am getting VERY poor sound from the rear speakers of my Titan. I know the front ones are 6x9 and the back are 6.5 so has anyone attempted to replace the rear ones by 6x9? I have the standard radio that came with the SE crew cab.

YES !!! The rear speakers suck big time. I'm glad somebody besides me posted on this. However the entire system is way underpowered, so you need amp(s) and speakers. From what I have read, 6.5 will sound better than 6x9. I am going to replace the fronts and rears with the 6.5" ed6500 components from edesignaudio.com. I bought adapters for the fronts from crutchfield to convert to 6.5. If you search you can find pics posted by smoketitan of mdf rings he made for mounting replacement rear speakers.

There is a Metra single DIN with pocket that will work in the Titan, I am using it in my KC LE (using stock XE/SE radio bezel). The model number is 7417 and is listed as a universal kit for various Nissan models (Titan is not one of them). But it will work with a slight modification.

6.5 better than 6x9? Really? Im surprised. I have my eyes set on two sets of Infinity Kappas....I actually wanted two pairs of 6x9 since the front's 6x9s sound WAAAAY better than the 6.5 on the rear. I had two pairs of JBL --one of each, and the 6x9 sounded better than the 6.5.

That PYLE with built in monitor displayed on the first message of this thread is not bad....but I have never had any experience with PYLE either. Of course the Kenwood is awesome...but I dont want to break the bank for a frikin' stereo either.

I wonder if the sound problem has to do with the speakers or the stereo....perhaps upgrading the rear speakers would make a difference?

Rob.

This is by far the most tempting HU I have seen so far. Hopefully I will get the job I want, and will purchase this very soon. Of course pics will be in store. Here are some more:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4Z0jPM0...&display=L#Tab

Sits flush, good RMS ratings, plays everything (including DVD), has dual zone support (listen to radio in front, movie in back), navigation compatible (for those of you that have it), DSP Input (Surround sound), and best of all..... THE PRICE!! That is very cheap for a DVD all in one especially with touch screen.
Here it is with a one year warranty:

I wanted to be the first to buy, but I doubt I will be.

Edit: Just noticed that Dallas posted pics of it with the Pyle thing.
GO BUCS!!!!!! Sorry, just had to throw that in. I will be going to a couple of Dallas games this year. Good luck.

6.5 will always sound better(clarity and overall sound reproduction) than a 6x9. If you look at any car audio companies lineup they put way more design time into the 6.5's than the 6x9. they only make 6x9 for oem replacements. and oem only use 6x9 as they produce better than 6.5 and fool people into thinking that they have a better sound than what they really do. bass should be dedicated to subs, not midrange speakers

Here you go on EBAY for 968.99 Buy Now option save you like 500 buckaroo's. Just figure I throw that out there. Also life_is_good if you could post pics just makes it easier for when christmas comes around and Santa wonders what he should get me
