How do you remove waterspots from chrome finish and rearview mirrors?

I found that Rain-x works well for removing and keeping them from appearing. White vinegar is suppose to work also, I tried it once with some success though it smelled like a..I'll leave it at that.

if you want to get rid of waterspots on the crome, you should use a car wash soap(carnauba carwash always has worked for me)and dry with a chamois. "Never" wash your car/truck in direct sunlight, always try to wash it in the shade or like i do, at night(around 7 or 8 pm). This way you don't have to worry about getting waterspots.
