Thumbs up First coats of wax

I finaly got my first coats of wax on last night. A wash, some light clay bar, a wash, good rinse and dry, a coat of Z2, a coat of z6, a coat of z2, and a final coat on z6. Took me two hours by hand. The second coats went faster.
The stuff is amazing. Might layer up another round in a few days.

Found a good wax shoot out here.

Everyone I know swears by Zaino. However, I have had very good results with Meguire's NXT on my Z. Though my Z is garaged and only driven on weekends, so that may help with the NXT durability. I guess we will see when I put it on the Titan that stays out in the elements.

rawze - I'm with you.

I have both liquid glass and zaino bros in my garage and I prefer the liquid glass. Don't get me wrong, Zaino is good .. but the price is insaino. Liquid Glass is an acrylic product (not a wax) and is optically transparent. I waxed my '94 super coupe for 7 yrs with it and everyone commented on its shine (btw - that car was in the elements 24/7). I also didn't like the complexity of the zaino system .. this, then this, then back to this ... I gave the Zaino to the guy who bought my BMW to clinch the deal! Then I went to Sears HW and bought more LG!

There's a lot of good stuff out there (including Zaino, Meguires, etc..). Except Zymol. Any product that askes you to wash your car after you have waxed it to 'set' the finish is saying "..our wax leaves a haze .."
[I tried Zymol when it first came out and that's what it said on the bottle, don't know if that's still true]
