pull the carpet on the passenger side--you will see the foam--on the foam is the letter N Drill right near the bottom of the N (nearest to the lower LHS of the letter) at with a 1/2 in steel bit ( assuming 4 gage). make sure you check the other side so as not to hit the AC water outlet. if smaller you can run 8 ga through the hood truunk release grommet on the drivers side

one of the members posted pics in his post just do a search for stereo or amp

Why can't you run one bigger wire through the firewall and then split at a fused distribution block? (assuming you are powering 2 amps located reasonably close together) Then also have a fuse or breaker on the big wire near the battery. One bigger wire will likely have less resistance than two smaller wires on a fairly long run (like battery to rear wall of cab)

http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm

I calculate a voltage drop of 0.8 V on a 13 ft run of 4 guage wire with a 100 amp load

The drop on a 13 ft run of 8 gauge with a 50 amp load is 1.0

yeah run no smaller than 4ga is you have a large amp--just use a ditro block these are really good

the larger wire will not only allow for more charge to your amp, cleaner sound, less overheating--it will protect your alternator from having to work so hard

make sure you have the proper inline fuse size AT THE BATTERY also for you size amp ( mine if an 80 amp)
