I believe that it is 6x9 front and 6.5 rear.

if you are going off only crutchfield get these

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-l24SX0C...&avf=N&search=

if you are willing to stretch your boundaries find the newer version spx-177r from ikesound or etronics they are much better than the kenwoods and cheaper also--

if you make a baffle from mdf you can fit up to a 7" woofer in the doors front and rear, and a shallow 8" if you have skills with wood

whats your budget??

Alpine's are junk. Do yourself a favor, go to a car audio shop and listen to a pair of Eclipse speakers. They will nock your socks with there clarity!

Speakers

Thanks for the info just starting to look ,I am putting in ddx7015 (kenwood).
Is a pain in the neck to hook the crossovers up on the Alpines. Found a pretty cheap place other than crutchfield . http://www.discountave.net/ check it out.

Id higly recommend you look at the spx-177r normally alpines are not great--and I am like most think they are not the greatest speaker company--but they outsourced these design off of the DST european model 6.75" cones. You know the company that makes scan speak( the best 7" driver on the marker), vifa and peerless-- and at $230 shipped from ikesound. the tweet is one of the best I have heard--and the midrange/midbass is perfect unless of course you want to go over $400 like I said.
IF you are a true audiophile who knows how to tune a speaker get the DLS or the focal k2p, if you are an average joe trying for a cool sytem at least find a set of these alpines and test them out I think you will be shocked as I was especially after I had gone through the my other 3 sets of components

If you have the money go DLS iridiums around $500 for a set Focal are great k2p baby--if you have $400-$500. mbquarts are okay nice amd smooth, cdt's been there done that--great if you have the 150 wrms to feed them--the ear to tune them (they need to be crossed pretty high to sound accurate if not the midbass over powers the midrange which is what you dont want, and the tweets are are okay 3/4" (bright) unless you get the 1" silk tw-25--which are great nice and smooth. never heard ecipse speakers--but most folks I know swear by there decks not there speakers but hey try em out--they are expensive though I am sure

but once again I have heard these all, I am a hip hop head, who loves john coltrane and roy ayers--so I love clarity(midrange), with a nice clean hard hitting midbasss. and I dont like bright tweets. so factor into what you like listening too.

I've got MB Quart all around and love them. 2nd set (had them in my Tahoe) You can get the reference series on ebay for 200-300/pair.

Whatever you buy, just be sure to go listen to them. If you can find them installed in a car that is even better. You can blow you wad on the Focals (nice speaker), but if they are poorly installed you may as well go with these:
http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/s...=336&langId=-1
as they will sound just as good. Good luck!

I've got some Boston's in my 4 banger. Great speakers. Too bad somebody busted the passenger quarter window and ripped my $350 deck out. I havn't bothered getting it replaced. They also stole a real ****ty sub & box and some even ****tier 6x9's that I had sitting in the backseat. They didn't touch the Bostons.

hey max-
which diamond speakers do you have in your car? i was checking out the hex and m6 series at a shop yesterday, and to my ears, the lower end m6s actually sounded better, but i haven't heard either one installed in a car.

'but once again I have heard these all, I am a hip hop head, who loves john coltrane and roy ayers'

nice to see someone actually digs roy ayers besides me!!

... and for my .02 go with MB Quart 6 1/2" Q series, make a baffle for the woofer in the doors and mount the tweets in the a pillars, power em with a nice Phoenix Gold or Precision Power amp and you will be one happy camper (except your pocket book might hurt a lol)... now if I can just figure out how to get my PPI4125x amp (25" long) to fit in this truck lol
