Yeah really, um I'm going to guess his name is Jason...

He would have gotton more bass out of a downward firing box...

But some people dont like the sound of a downward firing box...

Personally I'm going to wait untill someone makes a downward firing box to replace the front center seat (I have the bench). JL makes such a box for the Durango, it sounded great. I'll wait untill I have the money, if it doesnt happen, then I'll have to figure one out myself. I personally like the storage room under the back seat, I dont want to give it up...

The owner/maker of that box is a member here, he posted a topic about the install with more pictures a while back. I can't remember his name, but do a search.

can someone explain to me what the difference between the Pathfinder and the Xterra is? Seems to be similar size, same engine, etc.

I really wish Nissan threw a 5-speed auto in their midsizes.

I think you posted to the wrong thread.

But I'd say the Xterra is the more sporty/youthful model, while the Pathfinder is the more civilized family SUV.

Polaris - Good eye, but I do think that the truck in the background is in fact silver, looks like just a bad pic.

You can use this link - http://www.prothtech.com/jason/ to see his other pics, some nice ones of his wheels and grill, both of which look pretty good. I really like the wheels.

I sure would be interested in how he mounted the head unit in the overhead, that looks pretty cool, and should help protect from prying eyes.

all of this is just my $.02

you guys are funny, I was more interested in how to fire the subs forward so I can get a woofer in my rear with a larger mouting depth (6.5"). I am sure I can get a little less directional bass from firing down(Im not sos sure about more SPL), but I was just thinking of firing forward less impact on the kiddies ears

Nice install Piopremier. Looks really clean. You should do a how to on that subbox. I'm sure there are lots of people including myself who would be interested.

I was wondering how you covered a plywood box with what looks to be vinal and had it look nice. Thanks for clearing that up...

Looks like we have about the same truck except I didnt pay the $$ for the Foolsgate sound system, I can tell for sure if thats what you have/had, but it looks like it from the pics. I have the bench, which I thought I'd hate, but in fact love...

Good looking truck BTW...

So how did you mount that head unit in the overhead console? Does it still open and close? Thats a sweet setup.
