Need help with remote start.

I'm using an add on system to the oem keyless, I need to know where to get the negative pulse signal for the start function, Its either the lock or unlock button. Also, do I need a relay in there for the neg pulse? I cant find it. One more, for the bypass box, how do you wrap the wire around the ignition to give it the signal? Please help, my truck is down until I get thing running.

I know the colors, but I cant get a negative pulse out of the blue or the red. Is it in the connector at the door lock pad? How do I get a negative pulse from it? Also I have the TBKIII Bypass box and I dont think it works. How can I test it? How do I wrap it around the ignition? When I ground the trigger wire to get a negative pulse the truck dont start, it cranks. It does start when I insert the key. I dont have to turn it, just insert it and touch the trigger to ground twice. Help what am I doing wrong? Where do I find the blue and red lock and unlock wires? And how do I know the bypass box is working?

Unlock and lock wires you will need to access at the door switches for pulsing. As for the bypass box that's weird you should just beable to wrap wire around ignition.

I tried to test the pulses with my multimeter and get nothing. Also how am I supposed to fish these to the door? I'm having a hell of a time trying to get it through that boot, any tips? Also do you just tap into the blue and red wires or do I need an external relay? Sorry so many questions, but I'm stuck. I've been stuck for a while.

You have to hook up wires at switch. If you hook up the wires like I posted above it will work. You just tap into wires no relay needed. You can fish wires through door with a piece of mechanics wire. Just push the mechanics wire through the boot and tie wires onto it and pull back through..

Hey lizard, are you posting from past experience installing an aftermarkert starter on the oem keyless? Do you still use the factory fob. Your a huge help. What brand starter did you install? Also what brand key bypass did you use.

I had a Mobile Edge install but I was there when he did it. I installed the AstroStart 5204 Remote Start/Security with 2way LCD pager. We used 555U bypass box by DEI

I'm installing an aftermarket add on to the oem system. The way it starts is I press the lock button twice on the oem fob. So I need the negative pulse that is given off the lock wire to start the truck. How can I get that. The blue wire doesnt give that pulse.

Key sense? not sure what you mean there.. It has to give some sort of pulse to arm the factory security system. Double pulse I know is on unlock side according to the specs above..

For they bypass box make sure you use a Chiped key to place in box and then just loop antenna wire around the ignition.
