Smile GPS: Garmin Streetpilot 2620

I bought the Garmin 2620 StreetPilot based on what I read here at TitanTalk. I tested it today with 6 appointments all over the L.A. area. The results in one word: "Perfect"! This thing is amazingly accurate. No more Thomas Guide and reading glasses while driving! I bought it off EBAY at a Buy-it-now price around $975.

I have that unit as well.. www.gpsnow.com It's a great unit and alot more accurate then the OEM's you get in auto's. Cheaper to upgrade software too.

For that price you could have bought one of these Garmin . You could play mp3's, games and know where you are at They both have the same features just one has all the functions of a pda. Also it looks like you have to have the 2620 hooked up to a car mounted for it work. Dont get me wrong it is a beautiful gps I have some myself that just give you grid location and no maps at all. I have seen garmins pda at bestbuy demo and I will say it was really impressive my only problem with it was it didnt seem strong enough for some of my applications ex. Hiking, Camping, Hunting. But they did say they where in the process of making a rubber waterpoof case for it. That was about 3 months ago.

What sold me on the 2620 is it has hard drive and it's map's our pre loaded. No downloading maps everytime you go somewhere different..

Have the Garmin 2620 also. Used it on a trip to NY and Toronto. Works great!
