Kenwood DDX7015 Install with Pics

took them with a camera phone so they are alittle crude but believe me this is one pretty looking display. also grabed a snap of my sub box in the back.

Very nice I have wanted that for so long now. Could you show us what it looks like when when the face is down for loading a disc. This was my only concern that it would rub up against something. Thanks

Bit off topic Question, have you tried using a burnt disk (CD or DVD) with MP3s on it? Since its a single disk player would be nice if you can use that format to maintain some kind of selection.

I agree Smoke,
Im not sure if Kenwood has the same mounting points, But I put a Clarion 935 in mine and it mounted right to the original brakets. So it would take about as long as it would take you to take the stock radio out. I kept my original Navi also. That looks pretty good though ragedogg.

yes it reads CD RWs CD Rs DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W

So far it has no problems with reading my CD RW full of MP3s. (who needs a changer?)

As for security, i was alittle disappointed that this doesnt have a detatchable anything or a fold up something. However, when off and not heavily lit, you cant really tell there is anything there. Almost giving the impression that the faceplate was already removed.

For the amps, speakers, reciever, and sub box plus extended warranty (turns into a store credit if not used... AKA my down payment on a rear flipdown monitor for the back seats)

about $2800.

install looks great! how do the Bostons sound? i am thinking about going with the exact same components you have and am wondering how they sound in the Titan. did you mount the tweeter and woofer together or did you use the factory dash tweeter locations?

I love my bostons. they are the fancy entry level kind. i thought about jumping up to the top of the line but knew that would require an even more powerful amp. Since the front speakers are 6x9s the 6.5's required a new housing so i decided to just use the spare space in the housing rather then the stock placements for two reasons:

1) taking apart the dash would be no fun
2) IMHO, i thinks tweeters sound over bearing when separated from the other component. having them in the doors would allow me to hear both the highs and the lows from the same location.

So my titan is left with 3 dead speakers in the dash: the 2 tweeters and the the center speaker. Purhaps if i ever get kenwoods DSP decoder, ill hook it up to the cneter speaker for true 5.1 surround but until then, im happy with it no fux0ring my accoustic levels.

How hard was it to cut the dash apart? How did they finish it out? Did they sand and repaint it? Or is that a new piece of acrylic?

- thx
