Speaker Adapter Plates

http://www.mjmautoinnovations.com/

I orderd from this guy on 10/2, recieved an email the same day, and have yet to hear from him again or recieve the order. I assume I got ripped off at this point.

I have a set of 6.5" speakers.....does anyone know where I can get adapter plates to get them to fit the 6.75" holes in the rear doors of my KC? (non-RF)

this is what i bought.....and what i need:

I think you might be jumping the gun. If you ordered on 10/2. They probably didn't ship until 10/4 or 10/5. That's less than a week. I would give it until 10/15, before you start to fly off the handle. Who know they could be out of stock and need to order more from the distributor. Be patient, good things come to those who wait.

This is the email i got from him the same day I orderd it:

"Thank you for your order. Your order will be shipped shortly. How did you hear about MJM Auto Innovations? Please reply."

I emailed him 3 days ago, no responce.

I have speakers in hand waiting to be installed and this is holding it up.

I sent him another email today demanding a responce, time will tell if he responds.

I can live with the $10 loss.....i just hate wondering if hes going to pull through or not. I cant wait any longer. My stock speakers are shreaded.

Id advise using wood anyway--those plastic brackets can break on install or driving. get the cutout dimater, and the trace the outline of the stock 6x9 and cut it out using a jigsaw, and then mount it to the door, or if your speakers dont have a large face mount them to black stock speaker mount. if you mount to the DOOR trace the back of the stock black speaker mount so you get the right holes for the bolts and just go to home depot and get some metal screws/nuts to match the stock ones (cant remember the size)

I can make some crude ones for you and mail them to you at your cost if you want--but they are very easy to make yourself

but if you WANT PROFFESIONAL my man is a cabinet maker who makes speaker boxes, baffles etc on the side--but these boxes are far from on the side work. he made a set of baffels for me the first time I installed my system and they were perfect just buy talkin to him. I still use those as models when I add different speakers--I just use a jigsaw, but his are still way nicer

anyway here is his website--he is a great guy totalk to and do biz with and from the pics you can see how nice the boxes, etc that he makes are

I agree with smoketitan. If you don't want to make them yourself, a local cabinet or stereo install shop should be able to knock them out in short order.

I posted some pics in this thread:
