Looking for plug in firewall

I am getting ready to run some 4 ga power wire and I'm looking for the plug in the firewall close to the steering column that some others have used. If someone has a pic that they could post, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Jim

I ran my 4 ga yesterday, and I couldnt find that plug either. Sure did look for it though. Unfortunately I had to run mine down under the truck, and back into the cab under the front seats. I used a grommet and some wire loom, so it looks okay, but I sure with I could have gone through the firewall.

It isnt all that close to the stearing column.....?
It is actually behind the power brake booster....

Pull down the sound deadening padding from behind the left foot area up near the the top most portion of the carpeting...there is a 1/2" plug there.

You can also see it by pointing a flashlight behind your power brake booster on the firewall.

Look where the hood release cable is (or maybe it's the emergency brake cable- I can't recall) . It's right above that to the left. If you look under your hood you'll see a small compartment on the driver's side, and at the firewall you should see the plug. I ran both my 4ga power and ground wire through that plug with a little effort.

be carefull runnning under the cab man--you have a truck and if you ever hit off road and that wire strip you could have a mean cabin fire. Id highly recommend you reroute your wire inside the cab. tha grommet is there on the drivers side, and if not just drill ahole using a 1/2 bit thorugh the passenger side

be careful!!!!

Thanks for the tips. I'll check it out this weekend. If/when I find it, I'll post a pic to prove that it is there
