which double din kit is preferred??

I did a search on the forums for these three?? but now Im confused

The NDK and 7417 are actually the same kit (at least from the pictures). The kit holds the single DIN radio and fills the otherwise vacant area of the dash opening with a 'pocket'. The 9000 kit is for a single DIN opening and does not appear to have a filler for the lower portion of the dash opening.
I used the Metra 7417 in my LE when I installed an aftermarket radio. There are a lot of extra mounting tabs that need to be cut off (dremel tool required!), but it perfectly fills the space in the dash when finished.

Are you asking because you want to install a single DIN radio?

If not, then you don't need a kit. I installed the Kenwood DDX7015 double DIN head unit without any kits.

yes I am insalling a single din radio. man Id love to have that kenwood--I just cant afford a 1500 unit for a truck that is not garaged (my garage is too small). Id be afraid it would get stolen since the face is not detachable
