Good post bestatchess! If needed he can get a line driver made my Phoenix Gold that kicks butt. It put's out I believe 8 or 12volt preout voltage. http://www.cardomain.com/item/PHOTLD66
thats what the matrix does
and bestatchess where did you get those rcas from--please dont tell me those are the new knuconceptz cables?? they look way nicer than the ones I have
and since yor main signal is coming off the OC Id highly recommedn that you et better rca links fom the LOC to the matrix
EXPERT SERIES: Stinger has created the most advanced interconnect in the industry today! The Expert Series Audio Interconnect was designed to provide the highest level of performance and noise rejection possible. To accomplish this, we employed a duo of twisted-pair, silver-plated, 20ga. oxygen free copper conductors with directional noise-drain wires. Rubberized inner extrusion keeps the conductors in perfect alignment while laying the ground work for the two additional layers of shielding, mylar foil and OFC braided shield. For the finishing touch, a unique hexagon shaped rubberized outer jacket is extruded over the inner assembly for a look and feel like none other. The black chrome finished brass stopper is removable for unhindered cable routing. This masterpiece is capped off with black chrome finished, compact, hexagon shaped RCA ends with a laser etched Stinger "S" logo. Available in: 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 17 and 20-foot lengths and Y adapters. (Part # Ref. SX__).
DREAM SERIES: The totally reinvented Dream, in it’s glacier blue styling, brings you twisted-pair OFC construction with drain wires inside of a spirally wrapped mylar foil shield and a 95% braided shield to provide unsurpassed noise rejection and musical fidelity. Other cable design points are; directional design, 8.15mm dia., twist-lock RCA connector design with split-tip, and unique CNC machined glacier satin RCA ends. Available in 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 17, & 20-foot lengths and Y adapters. (Part # Ref. SDM_ _).
BULLET SERIES: The Bullet Series incorporates a brilliant platinum style braided outer shield and new CNC, chrome plated RCA ends with easy grip design and split-tip design. Directional OFC twisted-pair design with a foil and braided shield, ensure maximum noise rejection. Cable diameter is 5mmX2. Available in 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 17, 20-foot lengths and Y adapters (Part # Ref. SBT_ _). Bulk cable (SBTCABLE) and RCA ends (SBTRCA) available separately (see below).

I bought Phoenix Gold 4 Channel RCA for the long run to the rear cab wall. It might be a waste if the only noise problems are ground loop related.
The other ones are just some Radio Shack RCAs I had laying around. The package said they were shielded, but yeah, they look a little suspicious. I was going to try them to put the Matrix close to the LOC to see what happens before buying good cables. I was reading the manual for the Matrix and it said to put it close, before any long cable runs (yeah, I know, it didn't say to use cheap cables) Also, I was reading in the Matrix manual that you can open the case and set the grounding option. Did you try any of the grounding selections other than default?
It is my camera that takes the good pics. Canon Power Shot Pro 1, it really is surprising how well it does just set to AUTO. The only weakness is low light -- once the ISO goes above 100 there is alot of noise in the image. But in daylight, it matches my Nikon 35 mm film camera with expensive Nikon lenses. I really want a Canon EOS - 1DS Mark II, but it goes for like $7,000 just for the body, but it takes some amazing "available light" pics at high ISOs, and takes them very quickly between shots. (funny thing, some bands get pissed at concerts when I blast them with a big flash) I was hoping the price would free fall in a year or so, like compact flash memory prices.
Under drivers side dash. If you look strait up from the gas pedal you will see the amp mounted on a bracket with plugs...If you need the audio/video section of Service Manual I can email it to you..
I was wondering the same thing. I don't hve the rockford package and wanted to know where the stock extra speakers were. I have the 6-disc changer, but no rockford. If you have the diagrams of the locations and such, I too am interested in knowing if you don't mind.
Thanks Chris titan se
RF crew cab has one speaker in each front door, two tweeters at the sides of the dash, one center channel speaker in the middle of the dash, one speaker & one tweeter in each rear door, and a sub under the driver's seat.
I am curious as to what is wrong with the factory amp? It goes much louder than I would ever listen without distortion or breakups at all. It seems to me that upgraded speakers of appropriate efficiency would be a worthwhile upgrade even with the factory amp.
Am I wrong?

...if they were of the appropriate efficiency. Most aftermarket speakers require more power to provide the quality of sound/volume they were designed for. Just adding these speakers to factory equipment may starve them of power resulting in worse quality then you started with. Been there, done that...added an amp...muuuuch better!
