Custom Stereo Install

The guys at Sound Xpression in Phoenix just finished installing a custom stereo in my CC Titan. Here's the rundown of what we put in...

Front Speakers:
MB QUART RCE269
http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/pr...&model=RCE+269

Dash Speakers:
MB QUART RTE20
http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/pr...1&model=RTE+20

Rear Speakers:
MB QUART RCE216
http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/pr...&model=RCE+216

Subwoofers:
MB QUART RWE304 in custom enclosure
http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/pr...=RWE+302%2F304

Mid & High Amplifiers:
MB QUART RAA4200 (2)
http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/pr...&model=RAA4200

Subwoofer Amplifier:
MB QUART RAA1000
http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/pr...&model=RAA1000

Source Unit & Navigation:
Kenwood P-NAV7015
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2631

MP3 Player:
Kenwood Music Keg
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2373

Sirius Satellite Radio:
Kenwood KTC-SR903
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2623

Headrest Monitors:
Directed Video 7" HMV-700 mounted in headrests
http://www.directed.com/rse/monitors.asp

...There are a lot of speakers and amps in this truck so it will take a little time to dial it in but it sounded pretty good out of the box. I may be a little biased since I work for MB QUART but I have also been around some pretty nice sounding stereos and have to say that this one has some potential. If you're in teh PHX area and want to hear it let me know. I'll post pictures in a couple of weeks after the SEMA show.

So you have:

200 x 4 = 800
200 x 4 = 800
1000 x 1 = 1000

Total 2600 Watts ?

Are you running all that off the stock alternator?

I gotta go with you on the MB Quarts. I've got them in my Armada (front and rear doors, 2 12's in the back) and it sounds KILLER.

We're using the stock alternator which seems to be plenty of power. It's being supplemented by a Lightning Audio CPCC40 40 farad carbon alloay capacitor. The MB QUART woofers are pretty shallow so they fit in tight spaces well. The woofers are in sealed box under the seat firing up. There's about 2" between the woofer and the bottom of the seat. The woofers are even countersunk into the box. We added some sound deadening but have a slight vibration problem with the roof console. I'll take care of that this weekend though.

Those must be shallow mount subs to have that much room. I would love some pictures.

Your system sounds really sweet cant wait for the pics. I want 12's too, but I thought they wouldnt fit. Must be sweet working in the car audio industry, that was always my dream job.

Really has nothing to do with competing. A carbon alloy cap charges and discharges very quick. The more power to the amplifiers, the cleaner the sound will be. It really makes a big difference and the increase in price is negligible. Remember, the stereo is only as good as its' weakest link.
