Lightbulb Eclipse AVN2454 and JL10w7 Support

First love to tell everyone I am a proud owner of a Badass Titan. Pics to come. 1. Also have a AVN2454 installed and does anyone have the same problem with a similar unit, that the Bezel is too big and what to get to fill the big gap between the Bezel and the DVD. 2. Has anyone put a JL 10w7 in their truck with any success on an enclosure. There is no stealthbox but if someone has something in mind then please help. Thanks all.....

Don't have the AVN2454 but I almost did, just wasn't impressed with the FM sensitivity or the preout voltage. As for the W7 I haven't heard anyone installing these yet only the W6's. Have you looked into the Eclipse 8100's or the Diamond M6's in 12's?

I agree with the pre-outs but it is like most HU's now. Also there is an Audio controller you can get to boost your Pre-out signal to 8volts, i believe for eclipse only. I might be mistaken. Also, heard most Subs out there and people might argue but JL is clean and loud. An 10w7 can blow 12's and a few 15's any day IMO...

Most headunits have 4.5volts or better now days. We just trade off the preout voltage when going with DD units unfortunately. W7's are very nice I just wasn't impressed it's a SPL sub for sure but to me it sounds muddy and doesn't seem to be good for SQ. You know what you like so that's what matters. Those are some huge subs to fit so you might want to look in Eclipse or Diamond if your looking for SQ.

congrats !!! i too am a proud owner of eclipse's avn 2454, but its not in my titan, its on my accord.... however, i did install a pioneer double din in my uncles titan, and ran into the same problem... pioneer supplied a little bezel that goes around the radion to hide the gap.... eclipse however, did not... since my car had wood trim, my audio dealer made one out of burlwood and put it in place... looks beautiful... you may want to go to ur local audio store and buy one, its a simple trim ring... ill try to post a pic if i have, to show u what i mean....

here you can see the trim around the avn unit, without it you can see behind the headunit, it was ugly...

also for those of you commenting on the units low voltage output, i paired it up with audiocontrol's eqs... boosting voltage up to 8 volts out... this thing works wonders for music...

Titan_jatt....good mod on the dash unit. Looks great. how much and where did you get the audio controller? Also, I am fitting an TV tuner and another DVD seperate so i can watch DVD and keep the Navigation DVD in the original HU. Do you have to have a Multimedia controller/Video controller to control more than one input? Since Eclipse decided on just one input for video....
