Pac Swix ??

to all those who are using the SWIx for sterring controls where are you mounting the remote sensor at?

I dont wantt to drill through my front bexel, so I was thinking of mounting it in the small vent circle near the drivers column on the side of the center piece.

also how do you connect the resistors do they need to be soldered or something??

I'm pretty sure it needs to have a line-of-sight view (no obstructions) to the remote sensor on the HU. PAC suggests the overhead console.

It needs line of sight. Since the wire is not very long I mounted mine on the console in between the two front seats looking towards the head unit. I'll have to take a picture. I cannot describe it well enough.

swix swicth

Mounted mine in the center console just take the center box out very easy. You will be able to fish the wire along the bottom of the center console.
drilled a small hole right under neath the lid it is in direct fire of the head unit no problems at all.

I could not of said it better myself. That's what I did too.

I am not sure where to put it with the bench seat. Sorry.

I'd like a heads up on soldering the resistors in myself. Big deal? Is the connector the one that plugs into the head unit (audio) or one of the mini-pin type?

mine is alittle different. Put mine right next to the deck. no holes to cut and it was much easier then running it thru the center console.

You can see it but its no eyesore. doesnt bother me one bit and i love my steering wheel controls.
