What does the base stereo look like?

I know the dash panel I'm getting to replace the 6 disc changer is double din right? Is the base model a double din or does it have a cubby hole?

The base model radio (standard in XE and SE with no options) is a double DIN form factor. Essentially it is the same radio that is equipped in the base Frontier.
Metra has a couple of mounting kits that will fit a single DIN radio into the double DIN opening and includes a 'pocket' that fills the unused space. The one I used was 9417 which requires some modification to work. There is a newer one specifically for the Titan, model number 99-7705, which also has a 'pocket'.
