Do We Have Sufficient Power

Power, as in the battery and alternator.......

i'm planning to stall amp(s) & woofers, but with my last experience, my whole system suck the life out of my car, and i was using the Optima battery.

my, pending, future add-on's will include stereo system, some added lightings, etc., which all will require sufficient power.

130 amp alternator is stock. I have the Big Tow battery. There seems to be no problem with two 400 Watt amps (100 x 4, plus another bridged to 400 watts driving one sub), high beams & A/C all running. I was afraid to turn on my windshield wiper fluid heater (60 amp fuse) at the same time. I bought a 1 farad capacitor, but it was defective, so I'm running w/o at the moment. And yeah, the stereo will drain the battery pretty fast with the engine off.

See the thread about upgrading the battery/chassis/block ground to 0 gage. This seems to be essential to escape alternator noise.
