My Sirius Install

What’s up guys just took some pics of my Sirius Radio install and thought some of you that were interested might benefit. I have the Sirius Sportster head unit for the main reason of how perfectly it matches the trim in color and illumination.
The unit is hard wired into a power supply and also the AUX port. The Auxiliary port did not produce enough volume so I purchased a 1/8 jack volume amplifier at Radio Shack for 20 dollars to receive volume equal to cd/fm.

That looks sharp! And it looks like you get the full display for song & artist which is one thing I don't like about my Nissan XM.

They say it is way better.

Looks great!

I have a few questions for you:
How did you wire up the Aux direct and how does the faceplate and middle console come out of the way? How is the RS amp powered?
I have an older PNP2 but the background illum matches perfect with it too.

How did you mount the unit? Did you cut through the rubber mat? Does it use an fm modulator? I was at circuit city the other day and they were telling me how the FM modulator diminishes the sound quality, have you noticed anything?

That looks like a really clean install...

I agree that it really matches perfectly...

I still think I want to get the OEM installed though, waiting on the sirius interior windshield antenna to come out in Feb...

JVC Sirius install...

I just purchased the new JVC KT-PK2000 and hooked it up both ways and not satisfied with either way. There is too much static or background noise in the FM modulator and going thru AUX does not have enough volume, although the hissing and background noise is gone. How did you hardwire to the AUX as I have wires everywhere and is messy. The JVC unit is nice and alot smaller than the 1st generation model. Need pics or instructions on how to hard wire. I failed to mention that I have DVD Nav unit so placement of the unit does not work like that of Raxton. I just used velcro and placed it just above the air vent to the left of center stack.

Question Where to find 1/8 jack volume amplifier

Raxton, I went to Radio Shacks site after reading your post and couldn't find the amplifier you referred to. I then called them and they said they don't have anything like that. I know they probably are BS'ing me. What exactly was it called on the package and if possible, what was the item number? Also, could you briefly describe the looks of the whole thing so I can go look for it myself. Thanks.
