Question noises with subwoofers installed

the other day i got bored and decided to install a amp and a sub in my titan, it was a very quick installation only took about a hour or so. i can hear all kinds of noises from the subs, engine noise, everytime i roll down the windows, mostly anything i do in the car. could this be because i have the power wire and the input wire running right next to each other to the back of the cabin, or bad grounding? thanks in advance.

Everything I have read about installing car stereo says to run the signal & speaker wires down one side and the power wire down the other. Also, several people have found that lizardking's suggested upgrade of the battery to chassis to enginge block ground cable to 0 gage cured alternator whine. I don't know if it is required or not, but I grounded everything to a distribution block on the rear cab wall (head unit, pre-amp, amps) and haven't had any whine.

You never want to run power wires with speaker wires or patch cables. This will cause excessive noise. Grab the speakers wires and patch cables and move away from power wires to see if noise goe's away. Double check your ground and make the ground has short and close to the amp as possible.

could be both. quick test. disconnect the input wires and see if the noise is still there. if so...bad ground.

With all of the ticking noises in the passenger side being fixed by adding a ground wire, I would try adding a ground wire from the battery to the chassis ground, and just for kicks even do the "tick" fix, see if this helps and report back
