Best Amp/sub?

I'm going to get the MB Quart RCE 269's for the front, put one 10 sub under the passenger seat, and one 4 (actually 3 w/ sub bridged) channel amp under the driver's seat.

Hopefully, I'll get the Kenwood 7015 later on. But right now, what's a good amp to drive the 6x9 seperates and a single 10"? And what's a good 10" sub to go under the seat? I'm guessing it will be a .3 cubic ft sealed box.

I'm leaning toward a Rockford Fosgate P8004 amp. but if someone knows something better for the money (around $400), let me know. I could get the p4004 for under 200 bucks, but I think it might not be enough.

I have an 11 KV 2 from www.edesignaudio.com in a .5 cf sealed box driven by a 400 Watt (bridged) TRU amp. It sounds great.

No, I have it downfired under one rear seat. I missed the part in the original post about putting a sub under the front seat. That would require an extremely shallow sub in a very small box. I think it would be better to put a sub under one of the rear seats. Also, I'm not a big fan of upfiring a sub into a seat bottom, which is one of the things I hated about the stock RF system.

Nice amp, really compact, great specs, and looks cool. Never heard of it before, though. How's reliability?

Yep, I had a 600a4 in my last truck, a Dakota, running a set of Nakamichi s 6.5" components and two 10" LA subs. It was awesome, never had any trouble out of it, and it never clipped. I think that series is discontinued now, which is why I was thinking of the P8004. Thanks for the tip.

Amp: Zapco...easily one of the best out there. Check out ebay for the occasional good deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...730510715&rd=1

Rockford...They made very good amps years ago but I'm not much of a fan any more.

Audiobahn...yuck!

Subs...
Dayton...great sub for a great price.

About 10 years ago you would see Kicker (Stillwater Designs) in a lot of the high end audio systems. How are they today? Anyone here using them?

Go with the Rockford, their 2004 amps are all brand new designs and kick arse, I should know, I'm one of the design engineers who designed them

ive got a punch 200a4 bridged puching a pair of kicker comp 10's

ive had the amp for about 4 yrs and its still puching and i just got the tens yesturday. i was able to get a GMC box that fit pretty well. THey are down firing running across under the back seat. they sound great . I never realy liked kicker before and i had my mind made up on the MTX thunder 4500's but when i heard them and compared them side by side the kicker had more of a low rumble than the MTX. they were the same price and i had to go with the better sounding KICKER'S.
