Body color mirrors & door handles for XE?

Anyone modded their XE with body color mirrors & door handles?

I saw a thread where someone painted their tailgate bib - can something similar be done on the mirrors & handles?

Absolutely. That's what I'm doing. I have an SE with all the chrome. I'm in the process of getting all the parts I need. Then I'm gonna sell all my chrome parts.

I'll defenitly post some pics. However, I'm sure it won't be for a while yet. I might even wait to put the parts on till spring. No point in trashing newly painted parts with NY's salty, snowy roads just yet.

I have an SE with chrome and also want to paint. Do I have to replace parts or can I paint the chrome parts? Mirrors, door handles, bumpers, and grille.

I was told by two different body shops that you cannot paint chrome (you can but it won't last). So I've ordered the XE mirror covers and door handles.

How about the bumpers? Are you leaving chrome?

Only until I save up enough to convert the front to an XE and buy an XE rear and have it painted.
