There is a access hole on the drivers side very between the hood cable entry and steering column. I believe it's a 1/2" hole and it will have a rubber plug.

Look under the driver's side dash. Follow the cable from the hood latch release lever to the firewall. The 1/2 hole w/plug is located just above the grommet where the hood latch release cable goes through the firewall. You have to move the black insulating foam out of the way and look with a flashlight. You can also see the black plug from the other side of the firewall by looking under the hood with a flashlight if you look at the firewall behind the brake booster.

I ran 4 gage power cable through this hole by removing the plug, making a hole in the plug of a size to allow my wire to pass, running the wire through the plug and through the hole in the firewall, and then sliding the plug along the wire and pressing it back into the hole to serve as a bushing to prevent the power cable from sawing on the metal. I then sealed it with a little GE Silicone II. It helps to have two people to feed the power cable through the hole, one working under the hood and the other working under the dash.

Nice tip on using the black plug as a bushing. I would have just wrapped the cord with enough black electric tape to make it fit.
