Question Adding factory DVD set-up....

I have an 04 CC SE 4X4 w/o the DVD set-up. Anyone know if I have the prewiring to add the stock system to my truck. I want the stock set-up. We have it in our 04 Quest so I didn't think I'd need it in the Titan but, I'd like to change that! Any ideas?

I have an 04 LE CC w/o the factory DVD and I did not have all the wiring in place. If you are considering adding the stock system to your truck, get ready to spend about $2500 - $3000. Nissan's pricing is really high for those components. I am in the process of adding the Myron & Davis setup to my truck. Their screen is made to fit our trucks and looks factory.

Do you have any info on the system you're installing?

Thanks!

the wiring should be there at least for the dvd player. the harness is tucked under the center console. I'm not sure if the video screen wiring is there but i think it is. But if you go with the myron and davis setup (which seems the way to go, factory look monitor) my retailer said "we just install new wiring, because it is much easier to conect than trying to splice into the factory wiring"

Read the thread. I explain how my system was done. It will be the same regardless on what components you pick. The M&D screen is pricey imo for what you get. If you wire the way I show you you can use the factory IR/rear controls for wireless headphones...which you can get for like $16.

The wiring was not there in my truck. I took the entire center console out and looked. The harness that was there was missing the plugs for the DVD Player. At the front of the console, there are 2 connectors that the center console harness plugs into and I only had 1 connected. I have ordered the harness that includes the plugs for the DVD player. My cost is about $33 since my service manager orders me everything at his cost.

What I want to do is get that factory look (I have the full length roof console so adding the factory size screen should be a snap) and still be able to use the rear controls, be able to listen to the radio up front and the DVD in back etc.

Awesome thread. I have the overhead storage bins, I wonder how hard it would be to add this.

Then again I am a single guy with no kids, so maybe it's pointless. Sure would be cool though!

I have just install the M&D dvd system myself. thanks to helpful members on this community I did it myself for a cost of about $690.00. I got the M&D factory-like monitor from Jamie at titanparts247 for $450.00. I was easy install other than running the wires to the center console. I got the M&D dvd/tv tuner for $185.00 (AD256T) from a well hidden web site (pm me for details). I also got the subharness thats missing (also known as the family entertainment harness). After a couple of hours of studying the service manual I labeled each wire down to the factory wiring and did the connections. I works awsome! No need to run an fm modulator and still kept all the controls from the rear and steering wheels functions just like the factory! Well worth the patience and persistence!
