Which is better, XM or Sirius?

Thinking of getting a sattelite radio installed. Any problems out there with any of yours? Also does Best Buy or Circuit City do the instalation well? I have a 04 Titan Crew Cab. Also anyone out there had a new stereo system installed? If so was it done from a national franchise or locally?
Thanks

I have had XM for a year and it fits my needs. I installed it myself (though I am using the car kit through the aux port).

I have had the Sirius system now for about 3 months and it has been great. Bought the Sportster unit with car docking kit at Best Buy but it was cheaper to have Circuit City install it. Unit is great but I too have to go through the AUX unit to gain clarity over the built-in FM tuner. My only complaints are that the AUX input has fairly low gain and the overall quality of sattelite radio is not quite as good as a CD, but still decent...

Sirius Audiovox PNP3. I have it installed on the dash, angled towards me. It's going through an inline amplifier into the AUX in the front of the factory radio. You absolutely have to get the PIE LD-1 inline amplifier because the AUX port in the front of the factory radio is set way too low in volume. It now sounds crystal clear and just as loud as the CD volume.

I had XM Radio for about 2 years, and I've had Sirius now for about 3 months. I listen to mostly rock, reggae, rap, 80's and find the Sirius programming to be superior. In my opinion they play more popular songs where XM often plays obsecure verisions of popular songs or ones that you haven't heard. I can't speak of dance, trance, techno, because I don't listen to those types of music. Rock is much better on Sirius. I did like the comedy channel better on XM. The NFL Ticket on Sirius is also nice because you can see NFL Scores on the Display even if you're listening to the radio or CD(When using a modulator). Good Luck!

With Sirius, their entire channel lineup is available for your listening pleasure at no additional costs. XM however, charges an additional $9.95 a month if you want to listen to them on the internet.

No, only the music station. No weather, talk, comedy or other entertainment channels.

Found a comparison of XM vs Sirus on Edmunds.com:
http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/aud...s.features.1.*
The writer gives an edge to Sirus concerning overall content, price isn't mentioned as a factor.

BTW, I have had XM for a year and love it.

I was wrong. You can only listen to the music stations online. No talk, sports, or entertainment except the Gay station. Seriously, there is a gay and lesbian station, and it's the only talk you can listen to online.

I have always wondered is the actual sound cd quality or is just a step above standard fm radio

and for those that have it do you find yourslef still using cd' or is the music content fine by itself?

trying to justify the 10 or so per month

I tell you my experience is get a Sirius..The sound quality is a lot better in my opinion. When I had XM the music stations had different volumes and the quality sucked on some stations.. I don't have that problem with Sirius. I also have the Sirius tuner that hooks directly into my deck this makes all the difference. Those modulators and the unit's that hook into the antenna or the aux input don't sound nearly as good as direct connection...I don't listen to CD's nearly as often. However I did buy the Korn greatest hit volume 1 and I have been listening to that allot...
