I'm still looking for the remote wire

I spent two hrs looking for the remote wire to connect my amp to the stock 6 cd head unit and could not find a fu...g thing.

I heard about the 10 slot fuse and the green and white wire in the back of the head unit. But my question is:
is the wire lightgreen or dark green? because I couldn't find a wire with the green/white color.
> the fuse on the passanger side is the one for the radio? how can I tap it?

Thank you guys, with all your advice I was able to find the speaker wires with no problem and bought the LOC in circuit city for the amp. the only thing left to do is the damn remote wire.

you have the rf system or premiun 6cd changer

if you have the rf, the wire is on the second small plug (farthest to the right) in the back and it is indeed green/white--there is only one

if you dont have the rf system you will need to take a 12volt signal off the purple (violet wire) to turn your amps on

if you go the second route, you may want to make sure you out a fuse on the 12v line
as that is a live ignition 12v signal

indeed... I was not able to find the green/white wire because I have the 6 Cd premium HD. I will use the purple wire as the remote to the amp. Now, is the amp going to turn on when the ignition is on or when the radio is on???
Thanks for your advice, I will let you know how it turned out.

the amp will turn on with the ignition seperate from the amp

the only way to get around it is to change out the HU (which after doing it finally after tinkering witha LOC for 9months) Id hgihly recommend for ease/EQcontrol/ and overall SQ

but the only issue that may arise with the violet wire as remote is that you may get a pop when the amps turn on or off, dude the ignition signal coming on immediately. If your amps dont have a "slow turn on" you may xperience this (most new amps have this feature though so it shouldnt be an issue--just thought I give you a heads up

you may wANt to look into getting a bosCh relay also to protect your amps from some unknown votlage pop

do a search for relay

myself and bestachess both run them

They sell them at PARTSEXPRESS.COM for like $5
