Question for the Sparkies (Electrical Tech)

I am about to begin adding some back-up lights and driving lights and would appreciate it if someone with an electrical background could answer the following. In the attached schematic, I have the relays being energized (closed) thru the on/off switch (switch hot). Is this the best way? Would it be better to switch the ground side instead (relay hot)?

What you've shown will work fine, but there are some advantages to switching the ground side of the relay coil. That provides some options (Solid state switching, for example) that are more difficult if switching the hot side.

Use pull-to-ground instead of switching the hot side.

I'd switch the ground and it'll keep it consistent with the truck wiring or at least from what I've seen on a few of the schematics.
