Help with Interior panel removal

Can anyone explain how to remove the column panel between the doors on a Titan CC for running of DVD monitor wires from overhead console to the floor board? Don't want to break anything so any advice appreciated. Also trying to remove the center console for access to the M-46 connector and need to know how to do that. I have seen a thread describing removal by putting the shifter in "N" and unscrewing the shifter handle then prying up on the rear part of the shifter console but not exactly sure exactly where to pry up on (is it the actual shifter part with the transmision position indicators or is it the whole assembly??)

Thanks in advance, Kirk
