dash mounted xm antenna

got a free year of xm (wanted sirius but hey it s free right), but I have to activate it by tommorrow so I was wonndering I dont have the time to route it through the headliner, so the question is

whos placing the antenna on the dash, and hows the reception

and which antenna??

I have a friend that just stuck his on the dash. He said he has great reception.

It depends on where you live, you don't need to install it though to activate. Just activate on line and when you feel like installing it, it will be ready. I activated my girl friends and then just tossed it in the titan to try it out. I live in NH so I have to be facing south to hit the sat. My dad is in FL and he can just about hide his ant and get perfect reception. The closer to the equater you are the better off you are I think.
