LE aftermarket HU question

I recently installed an Alpine DVD HU in my KC LE. Everything works great except that when I change channels, there is a "popping" sound from the speakers. Can anyone suggest a fix? I am not sure if its power related or if the line-level input to the OEM amp is not correct. I am using the power from the harness and I’ve grounded the deck to the chassis behind the dash.

Thanks!

So you left everything stock for the RF system and just swapped the head unit?

The deck is an Alpine CVA-1004. According to the manual, it's rated at 21 watts RMS/45 peak x 4 channels.

Can anyone tell me if I connected my Alpine HU correctly? I read another forum that talked about using the "amp integration" harness. I can, of course, modify the existing one I have, but I'm just not sure if the RF amp needs the line-level or pre-amp level. Thanks

Sounds to be a ground problem or possible bad/wrong connection to the OEM amp!!
