Clock disappeared after amp install

I just added an amp to the stock head unit. I used a metra wiring harness and a reverse harness for the hookup. Everything works fine EXCEPT the clock no longer works all of the time. Sometimes it displays, other times not. I am thinking loose power connection, but none of my settings are getting lost, and when the clock does work, the time is correct. Any ideas?

man, that's weird, I think you have to be pushing the display button or something that changes up the display on the head unit.

It could a loose "remote on" power wire. Recheck the adapter connections.

it happens sometimes when youdisconnect the battery, the radio loses the function, If Iremeber correctly it will come back, but check them manual there was a display option for the clock --ie it was either on or off

if you have the new late 04, 05 deck it wont do this---this only occured, at least in my truck on the first model deck

Yeah, I have the first model. Waiting for my next dealer service to ask for a new one. In the mean time, looks like I'll have to yank the head unit and double check my connections. Thanks for the info gang.
