Removing Various Interior Trim Pieces...Sirius Install...

Hello,

About to install my Sirius Tuner.

Want to see if anyone can give me some advice on interior trim removal.

First the radio bezel...Just carefully pry off?

Secondly, I am going to mount the antenna out through the third brake light. What (and how do you remove) the appropriate trim pieces need to run the wire through the light?

I was about to carefully take apart and figure it out (I am sure it's not rocket science) but then decided I'd ask since I am sure the learning curve has been performed over and over!

Thanks in advance!

Pretty Simple really I have allready done it. Just grab top of Radio Bezel and pull hard but carefully it will pop right off. Then you will have to unplug everything to get it completely out of your way. As for the Ant. There are 2 plugs on the headliner in back , pull those out and you will find two bolts with nuts on them (8mm)Loosen them about half way off and grab ur brake light from out side and pull gently. The foam will release and then you can slide the plug end down into the truck. Go back inside and stick ur fingers in the headliner holes and give it a tugg it comes unclipped easily. Grabb ur wire and pull it slowly down into the truck untill its just where u want the antenna on the roof. I then ran my wire along the headliner just above my rear window and down the side of the rear window behind the trim pc's. if you pull slightly straight out they snap loose to give you the room. Run down that corner trim pc behind back seat on passenger side under kick plate on inside of door (these just pull off) under center piller trim between doors, under passenger front door kick plate (pulls off again) up under quarter kick panel under dash (this has enough play to slide thin wire under it without removing it) up and out the top of that panel and wire tie to factory harness running under glovebox to under dash in center console. Fish wire up into radio area and connect. Takes some time but really is easy. Leave slack in line all along the route to make sure it doesnt get pulled or tugged. Should be plenty of wire with any Ant. I have seen out there.Push your brake light tight against truck and tighten nuts again. The foam seal will seal around the small wire and bam no leaks your done. I dont know if your doing an aftermarket or a factory Sirius install but here is a pic of my Sporster I did. Its all hardwired for power and thru AUX port. Sound and looks pretty good.
