Maybe Llumar has a website showing the different shades. I would check there and compare to what you have.. What makes you think you can't trust him? You could always have the police check it with there machine.

Like lizard said, check out the website. If you're still not sure, have the police measure it. If it is beyond the lawful limit, they must take it off and redo it within limits.

it's definitely illegal..it's the 15%..so yeah no im not gonna have it checked by cops, even though i have very good friends that are cops...ive never heard of them having a machine that would check it, but i have called the company and a representative should be calling me back within the next day or so..

thanx guys

i got my windows tinted about 2 months ago. they said they used llumar and when i saw it i was like wtf. looked really hazy with a grayish chrome color to it. i had other vehicles with tint that didnt look like this. i asked the guy again he said it was 15% black llumar tint. they wouldnt give my money back and i didnt want them to do it again so i took it to another shop had them look at it, they kinda laughed and said that wasnt llumar they said it was some kinda economy tint and they had some to for a cheaper price. i ripped it off and had a different shop do it with real llumar tint. now it looks the way it should.

only one solution, really, drive your titan through that a-holes storefront and then report the truck stolen.

However, very few officers actually have this. I believe the prehistoric way to getting a percentage is actually a simple card that they hold up to the glass and if you cant see the card's legal limit area, your busted. Never had it happen on me, but thats what my coworker told me they do.

Sorry to hear about your experience, I have 15% Llumar tint and it should not have a green shade. It matches up very well with the back glasses. I know I have Llumar, my buddy works at an authorized llumar tint shop and I helped him put it on.... I say go up there & whoop that guy's A$$!!! Its a shame you can't trust people and they have you paying for Bull $hit!! There's nothing worse than a crappy tint job on a nice truck.

You could just really mess with the tint guy. Get a good buddy to wear one of those button up Nissan shirts they sell at the dealership and generate a fake Nissan Factory rep business card and go into his shop with the "Nissan Factory Rep" who states that the standard tint on the back windows is 15% Llumar and that you are to be compensated for the full amount + the cost of the shirt and printer ink/biz card paper (just tell him the extra amount is for duress or the Nissan Rep's time and that the tint guy is 100% responsible for it.) It can be a lot of fun to mess with people...

...or have one of your cop buddies go in there with you and "persuade" him to refund your loot. (I hear that a Louisville Slugger can be an effective persuasion device. ) I think the other one would be more fun, but both would work.

Good luck w/ that JACKA$$!!

I think the Llumar representative has contact them. Llumar called me this morning and told me to take my truck to Llumar preferred dealer to see if they really used Llumar film. Of course, they said no It's not Llumar. Went back to the place i got it done the guy has agreed to take if off and give my money back.. all he could say was that i don't want to argue about it when it clearly says on the receipt that they don't give refunds and this guy was so quick to give my money back.. that's a little sketch if you ask me..oh well.. Now i need to know which Llumar Film i need to ask for guys..I definitely want 15%. Is it charcoal 15%? The guy wants me to get Low Performance that wouldnt shine on a sunny day cuz they back ones wouldnt..but as he said i'd have to get them changed in about two years..I think im gonna go with High Performace..doesnt anyone have a part number??????
Thank you very much guys!!
Sorry if this is a little too long, i had to tell the whole story

On Llumar's website is listed as "level of reflectivity". I thinkt that's the shininess he was talking about. and if u notice the ones with low levels of reflectivity only have 3 yrs warranty..low reflectivity = less shininess
