KVT-715DVD/KVT-815DVD/KVT-915DVD Difference?

Does anyone know these Kenwoods? I wanna do the 815, but how much more do I get with upgrading to the 915?

That's it? That's what you get for $100 more?

Hey markislive78, why didn't you mount the Nav under your 715 for your double din size? Did it not fit? I didn't see it in your pictures. I wan't to get the P-NAV815 but I'm afraid they won't fit together.

The GPS receiver is NOT DIN sized...it is made to go under a seat or something it has to be mounted flat for the gyro to work.

Wow, Crutchfield told me it would fit! That sucks now. Even the Good Guys told me it would fit with no problem. Are you sure dude?

I cant say if the nav unit is din sized or not, however I will agree with mark that it is designed to be a hide away mount. (it fits perfectly behind the drivers side fold up seat in a king cab.

My GPS receiver is a Kenwood KNA-DV4100. I thought it was DIN as well....it's not wide enough...so i had to mount it under the seat. And make a custom face plate

ok guys, i am not an audiophile so i can care less about upgrading my speakers, amp sub etc. I want to keep everything stock except the HU. Based on install ease and use and gps ease and display (don't care about DTS or amp control, filters blah blah blah...... just the basics) which model would you recommend? the 715 with navigation or the 7105 with 4100 nav?

I don't want to have to rip out my dash to install a flamshooter relay, disconnect the garfunck valve and bypass the schnitzle resistor to get the thing to work right either, just simply bolt in , splice a wire or two, run an antenna cable is fine.
