Install complete

Finally. I just finished putting the doors back on my Titan. I have to say, it was very time consuming, but I am very pleased with the outcome. The sound is clear at high volumes and the tens fill out the bass in the cab very well. I might buy some twelves and a box that fills the underneath of the back seat at a later time, but for now the tens are fine.

After all of the little setbacks and mishaps I am left with just one problem to iron out. The rings on the back doors for the new speakers are about half an inch to big so I can't get the bottom of my door to clip on. I noticed in one of the post that someone used 1/2" MDF for the base ring that screws into the door and 3/4" MDF rings on top of those to screw the speakers into. Well, after the dynamat and the XTC baffles, the doors won't fit back on.

I think the answer will be to pull the doors off again and cut down the plastic ring/baffel on the door panels. That or redesign the MDF rings. I am not sure yet. I will go as-is for a week or two until I decide what I want to do.

I want to thank all of the people that have contributed to this forum by providing answers to questions and sharing their experiences. Without you guys, my install would not have turned out so well. Thanks everyone.

fyo since you used the xtc baffles 1/2" mdf will work best adn all you need is a ring no more than 1" in width ie.. if your cutout is 5" the ring total diameter should be no more than 6"--make sense I hope

good deal on the final install

also cu the back out of the xtc so the mid can have more air volume to work with instead of a small cup--infinite baffel speakers need air to work with as much as possible

I used UHMW. I used the supplied template. traced the inside and the outside. Cut it out and screwed it on. No problems. I'll take pics soon. I used 5/8"
