Sound System Upgrade

I have the preffered package with the 6 cd indash changer ( not Rockford) I was wondering if anyone knew if there is an rca out on the stereo to feed a signal to a subwoofer. I want to add a sub to fill out the sound but I want to keep the rest of the system stock. Also I've had my baby for 3 weeks now and 900 miles, anyone know about rattles I am hearing when going over rough and bumpy roads ( I mean those qick successive bumps, no rattles on smoother dips and bumps). Also I am averaging 10 mpg, is that bad or does she still need time to break in and its the dead of winter. I have a light foot and have yet to mash the throttle ( still breaking it in).

Upgrade...

I just added an amp and sub to my SE 4x4 Crew Saturday. The stock radio (6-disc non-RF) does not have pre-outs.

I got an Eclipse 4332 4-channel amp. It has a built-in converter for the speaker wire inputs. It powers the subs (2 Rockford Fosgate P2) in a box under the back seat and the 2 front door speakers. I left all the speakers stock, at least for now.

The amp is under the front seat.

The system sounds 1000% better than before. The subs make all the difference. At least for now, I'm going to keep my factory speakers.

Did you have to get a custom box made (pics?)? How much did it put you back? I have two sony xplod 10s and amp waiting to go in.

if you use speaker level inputs does that mean you have to disconnect a set of speakers?

No you can just tap into these wires with a scotchlock and run the second set to an amplifier or LOC. Thus you still get sound to your original speakers and you have the spliced wires running to your amp.
