broken amp

I have the Linear Power 2502IQ and it is broken. It will cost $150 to fix. It is a 10 year old amp and I dont think it's worth fixing. I ran a JL Audio 10W6 (dual 6 ohm voice coils) off of it and I was told that it was hooked up wrong which caused the amp to break. Anyways, I think I will be investing in a new sub amp. Any recommendations?

I bought a rockford fosgate BD1000.1 mono amp off ebay for like $300 i think it was. 1000 watts rms at 2ohm. Im running it at 1 ohm and am having no problems at all with overheating, clipping or anything else. it works hard. it actually blew one of my speakers (of course i was overpowering it)

to me it was a great deal.

that linear power is worth gold man

the company has shuts its doors for a few years, and all the older amps are going for prime money on ebay. Id either pay the cash to get it fixed, and sell it (youll double your money easy) and or sell it broken--youll get $100 or so out of it

go do a search on linear power on ebay complete listings and active youll see

there are tons of amps out, what power do you need at what ohm, mabe I can help out more

I know, I love Linear Power. I also have the 4753IQ. The tech at Linear says that my 2 channel cant run under 4 ohms... Should I run one channel to each voice coil, or get a new 10" sub? thanks for the advice.

just wire one coil to each amp channel, so each amp channel see a 6 ohm load

check out this old ebay auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

those are worth money now
